2005 - 2010 (WK) Jeep® Grand Cherokee
2006 - 2010 (XK) Jeep® Commander

NOTE:  This notification applies only to the above vehicles equipped with a Quadra-Trac II Full Time Active 4WD transfer case (sales code DHX) built through March 10, 2010 (MDH SOP through 031010).

 

IMPORTANT:  Some of the involved vehicles may be in dealer used vehicle inventory.  Dealers should complete this repair on these vehicles before retail delivery.  Dealers should also perform this repair on vehicles in for service.Involved vehicles can be determined by using the VIP inquiry process.

 

Subject

The Final Drive Control Module (FDCM) software on about 295,600 of the above vehicles may cause the “Service 4WD” light to come on and an inability to switch 4WD mode when trying to shift out of the current selected mode.

This bulletin involves seating the manual park release cable grommet to the cowl.

2015 (DS) Ram 1500 Pickup

NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles built on or after May 07, 2015 (MDH 0507XX) and on or before May 12, 2015 (MDH 0512XX).

 

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

The customer may describe water in the driver foot well. This water leak condition may be due to the manual park release cable grommet not being properly seated to the cowl during vehicle assembly.

This bulletin involves reprogramming the Transmission Control Module (TCM) with the latest available software.

 

MODELS:

**2014 - 2016** (MK) Jeep Compass / Patriot

NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles within the following markets/countries: NAFTA and APAC.

NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles **built on or before August 21, 2015 (MDH 0821XX)** equipped with the 2.0L I4 DOHC 16V Dual VVT Engine (Sales Codes ECN), **2.4L I4 DOHC 16V Dual VVT Engine (Sales Codes ED3)** and 6 speed Automatic Transmission (Sales Codes DA4).

 

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Customers may experience one of the following:

  • **Calibration will prevent unintentional engagement of AutoStick (Manual Mode) when shifter is bumped or tapped.**
  • Poor shift quality or a delayed shifts.

 

DIAGNOSIS:

Using a Scan Tool (wiTECH) with the appropriate Diagnostic Procedures available in

TechCONNECT, verify all engine systems are functioning as designed. If Diagnostic Trouble Codes (DTCs) or symptom conditions, other than the ones listed above are present, record the issues on the repair order and repair as necessary before proceeding further with this bulletin.

If the customer describes the symptom/condition listed above, perform the Repair Procedure.

This bulletin involves reprogramming the Electronic Shift Module (ESM) with the latest available software.

 

MODELS:

2015 (LX) Chrysler 300

NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles built on or after February 13, 2015 (MDH0213XX) and on or before April 30, 2015 (MDH 0430XX).

 

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Some Customers may experience a condition where the vehicle will not shift out of park while the engine running at idle and brake pedal applied. Technicians may find DTC P0928-00 BTSI Control - Circuit Short To Ground set in the Electronic Shift Module (ESM). Flashing the ESM with the latest software will correct this concern.
