Summary
Chrysler (FCA US, LLC) is recalling certain 2024 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. The power distribution center may prevent the trailer turn signal lights and taillights from operating as intended. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 108, “Lamps, Reflective Devices, and Associated Equipment.”
Remedy
Dealers will replace the power distribution center, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expecting to be mailed July 26, 2024. Owners may contact FCA US, LLC customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA US, LLC’s number for this recall is 57B.

Chronology :
- On January 22, 2024, the FCA US LLC (“FCA US”) Technical Safety and Regulatory Compliance (“TSRC”) organization was notified of a potential issue related to the PDC on some 2024 MY Jeep Wrangler vehicles.
- From January 2024, through May 2024, FCA US TSRC met with FCA US engineering and manufacturing to review the issue, understand the failure mode, and to determine the suspect population.
- On May 1, 2024, the FCA US TSRC organization recognized that a vehicle build issue existed on certain vehicles related to the incorrect PDC which can lead to inoperative turn signals and stop lamps, potentially resulting in a noncompliance with FMVSS No. 108.
- On May 31, 2024, FCA US determined, through the Vehicle Regulations Committee, to conduct a voluntary safety recall of the affected vehicles.
