OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves replacing the rear prop shaft, if required.
MODELS:
NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles within the following markets/countries: NAFTA.
NOTE: This bulletin applies to one of the following vehicle, engine and trans combinations:
- DJ vehicles equipped with 6.7L Cummins Engine (Sales Codes ETK) and 6-SPD Automatic 68RFE Transmission (Sales Code DG7).
- DJ vehicles equipped with 6.4L Gas V8 Engine (Sales Codes ESA) and 6-SPD Automatic 66RFE Transmission (Sales Code DFP).
- D2 vehicles equipped with 6.7L Cummins Engine (Sales Codes ETK) and 6 – SPD 850 Torque Output Aisin Trans (Sales Code DF2).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
The customer may describe a vibration feeling during a fast launch from 0 mph (0 kph) to 11 mph (18 kph) and the vehicle hauling a heavy load. This vibration is most noticeable at a launch from a stop, at Wide Open Throttle (WOT) while towing a heavy trailer.
DIAGNOSIS:
If the customer describes the symptom/condition listed above, perform the Repair Procedure.
