Summary
Chrysler
(FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2020 Jeep
Renegade and Fiat
500X vehicles. The right rear brake caliper could have been fractured during the casting process.
Remedy
Chrysler
will notify owners, and dealers will inspect and replace the right rear brake calipers, as necessary, free of charge. The recall began February 7, 2020. Owners may contact Chrysler
customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler
’s number for this recall is VE8.

None of the vehicles in the recall population had been delivered to a US dealer or owner when the recall was kicked off. FCA US included them in the recall population in an abundance of caution in case one or more were delivered to a dealer prior to having the remedy completed. All US vehicles included in this recall have been remedied through inspection, and repair as needed. Because of this, no US dealers or owners are affected that must be notified. Therefore, FCA US has no notification documents to upload to the NHTSA portal for this recall.
All vehicles included in this recall have been remedied as of February 27, 2020. FCA US will report 100% completion for this recall in the next quarterly submission.
