The customer may experience a squeak-like sound from the transmission clutch. This sound will occur when there is a change in engine torque. The squeak-like sound can be heard most often during: clutch engagement, acceleration (tip-in), and/or deceleration maneuvers. This condition may be due to the clutch disc internal components.
If the customer experiences the above condition, and the condition is isolated to the clutch, then perform the Repair Procedure.
NOTE: ONLY the clutch disc requires replacement.
- Replace the clutch disc:
- Refer to TechCONNECT for detail transmission Service Information repairprocedures. From the “Service Info” tab select: 21 – Transmission and Transfer Case > Manual Transfer Case – NSG370 > Removal and Installation.
- Refer to TechCONNECT for detail clutch disc Service Information repairprocedures. From the “Service Info” tab select: 6 – Clutch > Disc – Clutch > Removal and Installation.
Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
