Slight Diesel Odor In The Vehicle
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves replacing the existing paper cabin filter with an updated charcoal filter.

NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with a 3.0L V6 Turbo Diesel (sales code EXF).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Customers may experience a slight diesel odor inside the vehicle.
DIAGNOSIS:
If the above condition is present, perform the Repair Procedure.
NOTE: Customer may notice more odors from vehicles that have fewer than 500 miles. New vehicles have characteristic odors that tend to diminish over time. Advise the customers with less than 500 miles that they still may notice some faint characteristic smells after the repair has been performed.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
- Replace the paper cabin filter with the charcoal filter following the procedure in DealerConnect/TechConnect 24 – Heating and Air Conditioning / Distribution / FILTER, Cabin Air/Removal.
NOTE: Under normal maintenance, charcoal cabin filters should be replaced every 10,000 miles.
POLICY:
Reimbursable within the provisions of the warranty.
