Transmission Torque Management Enhancements While in Reverse
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves replacing the transmission control module with a revised part.

NOTE: This bulletin applies to SRT8 vehicles sold in Australia only.
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Customers may indicate that the engine does not have enough power to back a trailer up a steep grade. In addition, they may also indicate that the transmission shifts too early during acceleration while turning.
DIAGNOSIS:
A revised transmission software calibration improves the transmission torque management in reverse and while turning.
If the customer describes the symptom, perform the Repair Procedure.

REPAIR PROCEDURE:
- Replace the transmission control module. Refer to DealerCONNECT>Service>TechCONNECT>Service Info>08 – Electrical>8E Electronic Control Modules>MODULE, Transmission Control>Removal/Installation for additional information.
- Perform the adaptation procedure. Refer to DealerCONNECT>Service>TechCONNECT>Service Info>08 – Electrical>8E – Electronic Control Modules>MODULE, Transmission Control>Standard Procedure>ADAPTATION – 3.6L/6.4L GAS/3.0L DIESEL VEHICLES for additional information.
