Summary
Chrysler
(FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2017-2018 Chrysler
Pacifica vehicles. The Manual Park Release (MPR) plug may be removed without a tool. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) number 114, “Theft Protection.”
Remedy
Chrysler
will notify owners, and dealers will replace the MPR plug, free of charge. The recall is expected to begin August 3, 2018. Owners may contact Chrysler
customer service at 1-800-853-1403. Chrysler
’s number for this recall is U50.
