Diesel Fuel Filter Weepage in Extreme Cold Conditions
OVERVIEW:
This bulletin involves installing a new fuel/ water separator filter.

NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles built on or before December 1, 2014 (MDH 1201XX) equipped with 2.0L I4 Turbo Diesel Engine (Sales Code EBT) and Russia Country Code (Sales Code 8FE) or Sweden Country Code (Sales Code 8F6) or Finland Country Code (Sales Code 8CA) or Norway Country Code (Sales Code 8EW).
SYMPTOM/CONDITION:
Diesel fuel weepage from bottom of the vehicle when a cold soaked vehicle is started at temperatures of -13 F (-25 C) or below when using artic diesel fuel or a cold weather diesel fuel additive.
DIAGNOSIS:
If a customer’s VIN is listed in VIP or your RRT VIN list, perform the repair. For all other customers that describe the symptom/condition listed above, perform the Repair Procedure.
