(FCA US, LLC) (Stellantis) is recalling certain 2024 Dodge
Hornet and Alfa Romeo
Tonale vehicles. The manufacturer label is missing the tire rim and tire size information. As such, these vehicles fail to comply with the requirements of Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard number 110, “Tire Selection and Rims.”
Remedy
Dealers will apply a corrected label, free of charge. Owner notification letters were mailed April 4, 2024. Owners may contact FCA customer service at 1-800-853-1403. FCA’s number for this recall is 32B.

REASON FOR THIS SAFETY RECALL
Some of the above vehicles may have been built with a manufacturer label that is missing rim and tire size designation information. A driver may use an incorrect rim size, which can increase the risk of a crash.
Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 571.110 S4.3.3 “Additional Labeling Information for Vehicles Other Than Passenger Cars” requires “Each vehicle shall show the size designation and, if applicable, the type designation of rims (not necessarily those on the vehicle) appropriate for the tire appropriate for use on that vehicle, including the tire installed as original equipment on the vehicle by the vehicle manufacturer” to be printed on the manufacturer label. Subject vehicles are equipped with a manufacturer label that is missing the size designation of the rims.
SERVICE ACTION
FCA US will conduct a voluntary safety recall to apply a manufacturer label overlay with corrected information. The remedy for this condition is not currently available. Dealers will be notified of the launch of this safety recall by way of established communication methods. This recall is estimated to launch in 2nd Quarter of 2024.

SYMPTOM DESCRIPTION
About 1,200 of the above vehicles may have been built with a manufacturer label that is missing rim and tire size designation information. Relying on incorrect rim and tire size designation information can result in the use of an incorrect wheel, which can increase the risk of a crash.
Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 571.110 S4.3.3 “Additional Labeling Information for Vehicles Other Than Passenger Cars” requires “Each vehicle shall show the size designation and, if applicable, the type designation of rims (not necessarily those on the vehicle) appropriate for the tire appropriate for use on that vehicle, including the tire installed as original equipment on the vehicle by the vehicle manufacturer” to be printed on the manufacturer label. NOTE: Some vehicles above may have been identified as not involved in this recall and therefore have been excluded from this recall.
IMPORTANT:
- Some of the involved vehicles may be in dealer new vehicle inventory. Federal law requires you to complete this recall service on these vehicles before retail delivery. Violation of this requirement by a dealer could result in a civil penalty of up to $27,168 per vehicle.
- Some of the involved vehicles may be in dealer used vehicle inventory. Dealers should complete this recall service on these vehicles before retail delivery.
- Dealers should also perform this recall on vehicles in for service.
Involved vehicles can be determined by using the VIP inquiry process.

ALTERNATE TRANSPORTATION
Dealers should attempt to minimize customer inconvenience by placing the owner in a loaner vehicle if the vehicle must be held overnight.

All involved vehicle owners known to FCA are being notified of the service requirement by first class mail. They are requested to schedule appointments for this service with their dealers. A generic copy of the owner letter is attached.
SERVICE PROCEDURE
- Locate the manufacturer label on the vehicle driver side B-pillar (Figure 1).
- Obtain the NEW manufacturer overlay label for the vehicle and verify the overlay label is appropriate for the vehicle based on engine and tire size the vehicle is equipped with.

- Use isopropyl alcohol or window cleaner and a clean cloth to remove any wax, oil, dust, and debris from the existing manufacturer label.
- Allow the isopropyl alcohol or window cleaner to fully evaporate before applying the overlay label.
- Apply appropriate overlay label to the manufacturer label in the original position and with the same text orientation to correct the information (Figure 2).
- Apply pressure to the entire surface of the manufacturer overlay label with firm overlapping strokes removing all wrinkles and air bubbles. Using a tool such as a squeegee is allowed.
- Return the vehicle to the customer or inventory.

Chronology :
- On February 26, 2024, Stellantis Europe S.p.A Customer Experience (“CX”) was notified of a potential issue on certain vehicles related to missing Gross Vehicle Weight Rating, tire size, and rim size on the manufacturer label.
- From February 27, 2024, through March 8, 2024, Stellantis Europe S.p.A CX reviewed production data and assembly plant records and determined that some vehicles were built with missing manufacturer label information and determined the scope of vehicles affected.
- On March 7, 2024, the Stellantis Europe S.p.A organization recognized that the manufacturer label was missing required information on certain vehicles, potentially resulting in a noncompliance with FMVSS No. 110.
- On March 12, 2024, Stellantis Europe S.p.A determined, through the Vehicle Regulations Committee, to conduct a voluntary safety recall of the affected vehicles.

New Safety Recall Advanced Communication – 32B
FCA US LLC (FCA US) has announced a safety recall on certain 2024 Model Year
(GG) Dodge
Hornet and (GC) Alfa Romeo
Tonale vehicles.
VINs identified as being involved in this campaign are currently live and searchable.
Stop sale is in effect for the above-identified vehicles.
Vehicles impacted by a stop sale are eligible for reimbursement allowance through the
Recall Floorplan Reimbursement Policy (RFPRP), which can be requested upon recall
claim submission.
REASON FOR THIS SAFETY RECALL
Some of the above vehicles may have been built with a manufacturer label that is
missing rim and tire size designation information. A driver may use an incorrect rim size,
which can increase the risk of a crash.

VEHICLE LISTS, GLOBAL RECALL SYSTEM, VIP
AND DEALER FOLLOW UP
All involved vehicles have been entered into the
DealerCONNECT Global Recall System (GRS) and
Vehicle Information Plus (VIP) for dealer inquiry as
needed.
GRS provides involved dealers with an updated VIN
list of their incomplete vehicles. The owner’s name,
address and phone number are listed if known.
Completed vehicles are removed from GRS within
several days of repair claim submission.
To use this system, click on the “Service” tab and then
click on “Global Recall System.” Your dealer’s VIN
list for each recall displayed can be sorted by: those
vehicles that were unsold at recall launch, those with
a phone number, city, zip code, or VIN sequence.
Dealers must perform this repair on all unsold
vehicles before retail delivery. Dealers should also
use the VIN list to follow up with all owners to schedule
appointments for this repair.
Recall VIN lists may contain confidential, restricted
owner name and address information that was
obtained from the Department of Motor Vehicles of
various states. Use of this information is permitted for
this recall only and is strictly prohibited from all other
use.

4. Allow the isopropyl alcohol or window cleaner to fully evaporate before applying the overlay label.
5. Apply appropriate overlay label to the manufacturer label in the original position and with the same text
orientation to correct the information (Figure 2).
6. Apply pressure to the entire surface of the manufacturer overlay label with firm overlapping strokes removing
all wrinkles and air bubbles. Using a tool such as a squeegee is allowed.
7. Return the vehicle to the customer or inventory.

3. Use isopropyl alcohol or window cleaner and a clean cloth to remove any wax, oil, dust, and debris
from the existing manufacturer label.
4. Allow the isopropyl alcohol or window cleaner to fully evaporate before applying the overlay label.
5. Apply appropriate overlay label to the manufacturer label in the original position and with the same
text orientation to correct the information (Figure 2).
6. Apply pressure to the entire surface of the manufacturer overlay label with firm overlapping strokes
removing all wrinkles and air bubbles. Using a tool such as a squeegee is allowed.

FCA US LLC has decided that certain [2024 model year (GG) Dodge Hornet] vehicles fail to
conform to Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 110 – Tire selection and rims.
It is extremely important to take steps now to repair your vehicle to ensure the safety of you and
your passengers.
WHY DOES MY VEHICLE NEED REPAIRS?
Your vehicle [1] may have been built with a manufacturer label that is missing rim and tire size
designation information. Relying on incorrect rim and tire size designation information can
result in the use of an incorrect wheel, which can increase the risk of a crash.
Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) 571.110 S4.3.3 “Additional Labeling
Information for Vehicles Other Than Passenger Cars” requires “Each vehicle shall show the size
designation and, if applicable, the type designation of rims (not necessarily those on the vehicle)
appropriate for the tire appropriate for use on that vehicle, including the tire installed as original
equipment on the vehicle by the vehicle manufacturer” to be printed on the manufacturer label.
Subject vehicles are equipped with a manufacturer label that is missing the size designation of
the rims.
HOW DO I RESOLVE THIS IMPORTANT SAFETY ISSUE?
You may choose to apply the enclosed overlay label using the instruction as described on the
enclosed instructions letter. Or if you prefer not to install the label yourself, simply contact your
dealer to schedule a service appointment. FCA US LLC will repair your vehicle [2] free of charge
(parts and labor). To do this, your dealer will apply the manufacturer label overlay with
corrected information. The estimated repair time is 20 minutes. In addition, your dealer
will require your vehicle for proper check-in, preparation, and check-out during your visit,

service appointment to minimize your inconvenience. Please bring the enclosed overlay label
and this letter with you to your dealership.

OWNER INSTRUCTIONS
INSTALL THE MANUFACTURER OVERLAY LABEL BY FOLLOWING THE PROCEDURE BELOW:
1. Locate the manufacturer label on the vehicle driver side B-pillar (Figure 1).
2. Obtain the NEW manufacturer overlay label for the vehicle.
NOTE: Only one overlay label will be supplied depending on your vehicle type. Please verify
the overlay label is appropriate for the vehicle based on engine and tire size the vehicle is
equipped with.
