Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2010 Dodge Ram 3500, Ram 4500/5500, 2010-2011 Dodge Dakota, 2010-2014 Dodge Challenger, 2010-2015 Dodge Challenger, Chrysler 300, and 2010-2016 Jeep Wrangler vehicles. Upon deployment of the driver's frontal air bag, excessive internal pressure may cause the inflator to explode.

Essential Flash Management - FCA

To announce the Essential Flash Management feature. This new feature will provide a clear indication of what Flashes are required to be performed immediately. Key advantages include:

  • Increases Service Campaign Flash completion for Recall, Customer Satisfaction Notice (CSN) and Rapid Response Transmittal (RRT) by highlighting those Flashes that need to be addressed immediately.
  • Improves Customer Satisfaction by not applying updates that may change the operation of the vehicle’s behavior and cause customer confusion.

Vehicle Restriction Program – Cummins Enhanced Customer Satisfaction (ECS)

PURPOSE:

To announce a new Vehicle Restriction program called “Cummins ECS Program” for select Cummins equipped vehicles. The program is designed to use both Technical Service Operations and Customer Care to proactively reach out to customers and ensure efficient repair of vehicles.

 

TIMING:

Effective March 27, 2017

 

ACTION:

This bulletin is being released in addition to Warranty Bulletin D-16-16 (Vehicle Restriction Program – Enhanced Customer Satisfaction (ECS)). The handling of the vehicles in the standard ECS Vehicle Restriction program remains unchanged.

Always verify vehicle component coverage through DealerCONNECT or wiADVISOR VIP prior to repairing any vehicle.

If the vehicle is part of the new Cummins ECS Program, the dealer must call Customer Care at 1-866- 275-1420 before proceeding with any non-Maintenance repair.
