PURPOSE:

To announce the Essential Flash Management feature. This new feature will provide a clear indication of what Flashes are required to be performed immediately. Key advantages include:

  • Increases Service Campaign Flash completion for Recall, Customer Satisfaction Notice (CSN) and Rapid Response Transmittal (RRT) by highlighting those Flashes that need to be addressed immediately.
  • Improves Customer Satisfaction by not applying updates that may change the operation of the vehicle’s behavior and cause customer confusion.

Shop Certification Program Guidelines - Mopar

PURPOSE:

Mopar is updating the Shop Certification Program eligibility requirements to remain in alignment with the Customer First Award For Excellence (CFAFE) FFV requirements. Dealers that qualify for the Shop Certification Program will continue to receive a TASC allowance of 25%.

The Shop Certification Program is designed to simplify the dispatch and shop loading process, while improving warranty administration for dealers. The Shop Certification Program is designed to significantly improve shop capacity and enhance RO throughput if dealers meet Fixed First Visit (FFV) and Minimum Training Requirements (MTR).

This bulletin involves installing a comfort clip on the seat belt.

NOTE: This bulletin applies to vehicles equipped with Police Group (Sales Code AHB).

 

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

The officer may describe a rare interaction between brought-in police equipment and the vehicle’s seat belt latch plate.

NOTE: Installation of the comfort clip will allow officers to re-position their seat belt latch plate to minimize the risk of unintended equipment interactions.

SYMPTOM/CONDITION:

Vinyl windows are susceptible to cracking when handled in cold temperature below 41°F (5°C). The condition shown in (Fig. 1) is not warrantable.

Front Fuel Tank Strap Bracket may Corrode

If the fuel tank were to drop and contact the ground, a fuel leak may result. Additionally, in the event of a crash, the fuel tank may not remain secured to the vehicle, possibly causing a fuel leak. A fuel leak in the presence in an ignition source, can increase the risk of a fire.

Summary

Chrysler (FCA US LLC) is recalling certain 2009-2012 Dodge Ram 1500 trucks currently, or ever registered, in Connecticut, Delaware, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, West Virginia, Wisconsin and the District of Columbia. Exposure to environmental conditions such as water mixed with road salt may cause the front fuel tank strap frame "T-Slot" bracket to corrode, possibly causing the fuel tank to drop and make contact with the ground.
